Academic burn-out, worst thing a student can face and yet more than half of the students currently are going through it.

And not just academic, it comes in different fonts like your friend's ex! People burn out while reading books even though they still love them. People aren't able to write (like me rn, I try..) no inspiration? It's called reading and writing slump!

Well, they's just one way Outta all this mess and that is forcing and pushing yourself to do stuff (like me, I'm still trying..) and just hoping for the best.

Like many of you, I'm also in a burn out, reading and writing slump.. yeah, everything, all together (⁠｡⁠•́⁠︿⁠•̀⁠｡⁠)..

I do know aswell that this post of mine ain't gonna get much likes but here I am, trying to push myself to write! (It's kinda working for me) Ehehe..

Anddd if you're in whichever slump or burn out thingy situation right nowww, I hopee you get over it soon and get back to being the silly whimsical hooman you're meant to be! <3

Love me as if we're fictional, as if we're characters meant to be read about. Love me as if you're a fictional man.

Love me as if we aren't real, but real enough to be loved about for eternity. Love me like the sun kissed river, like the stars that glitter. Love me like we're meant for forever. Love me like I'm your sense of satisfaction. Love me for the hope of it all.

Love me like a diamond ore you found in a Minecraft mine, the first one to catch your eyes, the one that brought you hope and smiles. Love me like one in a billion, love me like we're an epitome of love itself. Love me so that people look at us and say "omg how romantic are they".

Love me like I'm the air you breathe, something you can't live without in peace. Love me as if we're characters in a book, where people who read it say "oh my god, I wish". Love me as though I'm the god you're devoted to. Love me like that ray of light in complete darkness, love me like we were meant to be when it all started.

Love me as if we're in a book, existing as if our future's untold. Love me so like the readers wish they were me and I'll love you as like they wish the same about being you. Love me like we're meant forever, every hour, every minute and every second.

Love me as if we're in a book, love me not as if it's a chore. If so I feel special, the love I'll give will be twice the love I'll receive altogether. And for a moment I'll make you forget about the worries that pull you apart. I'll make you realise your worth. If you love me the way I feel the worth, I'll love you like the world ends tomorrow atlast. And when the sun sets with the past, I'll make you feel the love as erotes.

Love me when darkness takes over, don't leave my hand when it's bright. Love me through day and night, every second of time. I'll give you twice of what i recieve. Don't care about my looks, they don't last forever. Don't care about my body either, it's meant to be gone one day. Love me for my soul as it is, as it never fades away like the rest do their way.

Love me for my soul. Love me for who i am. Love me as if the world ends tomorrow. Love me even after life betrays us, when sun feels like an eternal fever. And love me as though we're in a book. Love me as if we're fictional, not for the love to be a fiction. Love me like it feels unreal. i don't want perfect, but I hope it's worth it.

Run.

She sat silent, in the walls of her room. Shedding each tear, tired of people. Tired of the judgments. Tired of peers. Tired of parents, and everyone near. Wanting to run, to escape, to sleep for eternity. The rain cried with her. She looked around herself, at the surroundings.. finding herself in a dark place, nothing to be seen. She called, no one answered except a few seconds later.. she heard an echoing voice. She asked where she was, what was happening and why she was here.. it didn't answer. She called out again, for as long as she remembers.. 5 minutes had passed, she felt helpless, alone- like always. Then the unknown voice answered.. "you're where you need to be". She didn't understand, questioning again- "why do I need to be here? What is this place? How did I end up here?". There was complete silence after this, then the voice echoed again.. "those tears are what brought you here, why were they shed?"..

she didn't answer, silent for a few minutes and then she spoke again- "I'm tired. Tired of the force, tired of the expectations, tired of people pushing me to do things. They don't stop, they never will. Even if I'm tired, even if I'm scared.. they don't stop"

The voice replied - "expectations? What are expectations? Why do they haunt you? What's the purpose? The need?"

She remained silent.. the voice echoed once more- "expectations are never ending, no matter the person. Expectations are like side quests, you're told to do or the story isn't 'complete'. But that's not true, the story is what you build. The story is when you shape it from your kind of memories, colour it with those happy and sad moments, glitter it for your piece of mind and put those people in that deserve to be with you. Expectations aren't the sole purpose, the sole meaning of life. You should know you are worthy, worthy of those beautiful moments, those memories you wished would never end and the times when you met the people that changed your life for the better."

She stared into the dark and then the ground. Tears filled her eyes as she saw the scars on her hand light up. Confused as she was, she closed her eyes. This time it felt peaceful. After a few minutes, her eyes opened again.. she looked around to find books and papers lying on her bed, her tears were dry. She realised it was a dream. She was in her bed again, but with a much bigger hope. She wasn't alone this time.. the voice still echoed with her and stayed by her side.

I want those messy pajamas with pillow fights,
The ones where the laughter feels like an endless chime.

The one where we find a night, us alone with fireflies.
Staring at the stars with blurry eyes and kissing under the moonlight.
The one where we sing through the night,
and sit together watching the sun rise.

Deeper every day and night.
Counting seconds 'till i see your eyes,
Every minute feels like a stab with a knife.

Going to shop for fluffy animals,
Barbie dream houses and toys cars.
Puzzles we'll spend hours solving,

To cafe's, because i craved pop tarts.

Midnight calls on random tuesdays.
Facetime calls while studying together after noon.

Watching shows together on a sunday morning, so cute.

Writing each other letters like it's a hobby,
Choosing stamps and pasting stickers that were left from 2016 february.
You paint on my hand while i put flowers in your hair,
You curl my lashes while i look you in the eyes with deep care.
Helping me put on my favourite shade of lip gloss,
I kiss you with the same shade, that shade of love and dare.

That passion instilled in the air, 
We grew closer every year.
Laughing on things no one knew,
Laying on grass with our hands interlocked under sky blue.
I kissed you under the shade of the maple tree and stars, yellow hue.

The trees, they sway in the breeze,
The leaves swaying back and forth,
Those trees never seize.
But they're always at peace.
"Where are my keys?" A thought i often have.
Show me things, show me kisses,
I wanna be fall's mistress.

Through winds blowing past summer.
With a flick, they fly high
And fall down with a sigh.

Fall, such a beautiful season,
Never needs a reason.
Never a reason to shine, never a reason to look fine.

Or i want it to be.

But i know it'll never be fully mine.
We share fall and during these falls,
We act like it's the only one call.

Every tree that i walk past by,

Then the wind blows past,

Oh, the rain has nothing to gain.
For it is beautiful in and out.

Wet leaves and winds so clear,
Cold but warmth feels near.

Reading books under the tree,
Whilst watching leaves fall beneath.

The leaves stick on the floor, 
The rain pinning them down.
Oh, i wanna frown.
Because when i was in this fall, 
I wanted to have a full-on brawl.
That sweet cool breeze pulling me in each and every way.
That breeze will never stay at bay.

Jumping to a new year makes me so happy to leave the things that happened to me this year behind.

I want this new year to be better, playful and memorable (in a good way ofc).

I want this year to be healthy to the ones I love and cherish, both mentally and physically.

I need this to be the year I have fun like i used to in the year 2016, I need this year to be a lot better than the years I've had after covid.

Dear 2026, I want you to be better. I want you to bring me better and I want you to do me better. Do me good. Do NOT be like the years from 2020-2025. Learn from them and be better. Please.

Keep away the toxic people from my life, the people who don't give af even if I say they hurt me. Please take notes from God.

All i want this year is to be the happy me. I want to be popular, successful, academically smart, emotionally intelligent, happy, untoxic and confident. All in a good way.

Dear 2026, bring laughter to my life. Give me more of the happy moments. Give me freedom. Give me friends, good friends. The one you find hard to get. Friends who would give you time without excuses, the one's who'd always be there for you.

Dear 2026, don't break my expectations. Don't be mean, don't be like 2020.

On this New Year's Eve.. I wish for happiness. For me and everyone good. I wish the things we had in 2016 be back.

Dear 2026, tell people some memes are not funny. Tell people it's better to leave some things be. Tell people to be respectful when there's a need. Tell people they can be both mature and childish in a better way. Tell people that things will be alright.

Dear 2026, tell parents to be a little more gentle with their kids. Tell parents it's a different generation. Tell parents to not shame their kids on some things. Tell parents that they can do mistakes too. Tell parents that their kids can sometimes be saying something true. Tell parents it's alright if their daughter's bra strap is showing and also tell parents that it's the men who should be taught not to disrespectly look at women. Tell parents they should teach their son manners first rather than taking their daughter's freedom. Tell parents their conservative mindset doesn't work everywhere. Tell parents when they're wrong.

Dear 2026, be the best version of yourself. 2025 was enough of a trauma. Be the light and don't be the storm.

Introduction:

I’m a law aspirant from India. 16 years old, female. I love writing poetry, love rain, studying about History, listening to songs, eating and cooking.

-How would you define your blog/ brand?

My blogs are mostly poems, It’s a place where I write when I’m happy, sad, or in any mood. I usually write about love- something people of this generation find hard to believe in. I write for people who have had similar experience like mine, I not only write for myself but for others going through similar situations. I write because It’s easier to put my thoughts into words and writing rather then saying them.

-Why did you start writing?

I never knew about this platform until someone special introduced me, I never really had a passion for writing until I came here. I never knew I could write poetry, I tried writing it here and not only me but the people here loved my art too. I started writing since I got to know It’s magic, the way writing heals something inside me and when I put it forth people, they seem to love it and I’m glad my art heals something in people too.

-What/ who makes you feel empowered and inspired?

I know I’ve talked about him a lot but there is more to him than just my writings about him. he’s a best friend, someone who has helped me through devastating things, he’s comforting, clever and a lot more. He’s the person who’d let no one know about the things he’s going through and what makes it more inspiring is that he’s done a lot for people, while dealing with his problems. He’s strong, sweet and the kind who’d not let a friend be in the wrong. He’s the kind of person who empowered me, he’s the person that inspires me. And I’m so very grateful for it.

-What advice would you give to your younger self?

I’d tell my 13 year old self to be bold, I’d tell her to speak up for herself, I’d tell her to never be with people who never respected her, I’d tell her to fight for herself and not let anyone take advantage of her. But moreover I’d thank her for handling things by herself but asking for help when she really needed. I thank her for being strong and making me who I am today.

-How do you see your blog evolving, and what are your dreams?

I do see my blog evolving and connecting me to more people here. With 73 people in just in 4 months, I think I’m yet to have a lot of people joining me while I write here. I dream of starting to earn when I turn 18, I dream to earn through my talents and hobbies. I dream to earn for my writing on Substack.

-Do you have any advice on how to stop caring what others think?

I personally believe if there is someone out there judging you for something you didn’t do wrong or for something that genuinely not under your control, they have no right to judge as they mean nothing to you and if they’re someone whom you don’t know then it’s practical they’re not aware of what you’re going through or what your thoughts or experience say. I think it’s best to remind yourself that it’s alright and people may never be pleased anyhow.

-What’s the most meaningful comment or message you’ve received from a reader, and why did it stand out to you?

There have been several times my readers have commented or in general praised my writings but there are a few that stood out the most to me that are when people have genuinely went “Have you read her poems” which makes me smile seeing the influence my poems have had on people and their perspective on love and what else can a reader want honestly?

-Do you have any advice or tips for younger people who want to become writers/ bloggers?

I’d say it’s nice to connect to people first, being a writer also comes with being a reader. It’s better to keep centuries of distance from ai while writing. And furthermost being a writer means writing about your thought, experience and feelings. It’s not tough to become a writer or blogger, all it requires is connections and thoughts. And giving time to yourself to write not only for yourself but also for your readers.

-What has been the biggest lesson you have learned recently?

The biggest lesson I’ve recently learned is to be grateful for the people you have in your life and not to make them feel their feelings are being toyed with, everyone has feelings and I as a growing person should learn to respect people and their feelings and not to judge them without clearly knowing things.

A warmth that finds it’s way through trees, slowly dimming but rising neat.
Sweety shining effortlessly, glowing in storms when they pass with a treat.
Eyes that speak tons lately, finding ways to rise upbeat.
Forever glancing at the moon with a tune, sharing light without a gloom. 

Setting while leaving a spark on water, Rising and sharing it's light altogether.
Sparkling in may and fading till december.
Like a light at the end of tribulation.

Maybe you won't understand it, maybe I won't either.
Maybe you'll say you do, deep down I won't agree with you. 

I've crossed rivers and mountains, would say the same for you.
Maybe we've cried at the same time for different grounds too.
We've worked things out, like we always do. yet I still blame you for the things I'm not supposed to.

I feel scared, I still do. But it feels pathetic, you know it too.
We have our differences but they feel toxic too.
I've cried at nights thinking I wasn't enough for you.

We both tried our best but failed to notice the other's stress.
We both have imperfections but we still give it our rest.
I'm sorry I can't hold it in, maybe I'll also crash out at 12 am.
I think the fault isn't us yet we somehow blame each other upfront.

Maybe that's how things are supposed to be, I won't let you down.
we've come so far, it's too late to back down.
It's so cute when we say the same thing at the same time, I wonder how that happens until you say "we're soulmates".

We'll be mad at each other, maybe for minutes or maybe for hours, but we'll always try to work it out like Lil bunnies and hop together from the start.

I feel happy when you're around, I hope you feel the same.
I wish I could light up your world like fireworks on a Monday morning.
I want you to be happy, I want you to care.
Even after an argument, I want you to be here.
